Sunrise Scholars is a one-day-a-week homeschool program centered on community, hands-on learning, and time outdoors — designed specifically for middle school students. Our mission is to give older homeschoolers a place to explore science, writing, history, art, and leadership skills in ways that are active, collaborative, and grounded in real experiences, while building the kind of peer relationships that last.
While we meet at Plains Mennonite Church, Sunrise Scholars is not affiliated with any religious tradition. We welcome families of all beliefs, united by a shared commitment to curiosity, respect, and belonging.
Sunrise Scholars was created with the longview in mind, designed to grow alongside your child. We plan to expand one grade level at a time, with the goal of becoming a cohesive middle and high school community — complete with capstone projects and meaningful graduation milestones.
Enrollment is by semester, giving families flexibility each season.
